Awards
It's a masterpiece
Every routine is adjudicated on a 100-point scale — technique, performance and choreography, each carrying its own weight.

The mark, broken down
Technique
40Clean lines, control, placement and the basics done properly — under pressure, at speed, across the stage.
Performance
30The part that makes a room watch: connection, energy, and a dancer who means every second of it.
Choreography
30The idea behind the movement — originality, musicality, and how well the routine is actually built.
Technique 40 + Performance 30 + Choreography 30 = 100. That total is what lands a routine in an adjudication band.
Placements
1st, 2nd & 3rd
1st, 2nd & 3rd will be announced in every category with two or more routines.
Single entry
A category with only one routine is still announced and recognised with its adjudication — Masterpiece, Diamond, Platinum, Emerald or Sapphire.
More than 3
If there are more than 3 routines in a category, all other routines will be announced in no particular order.
Overall Awards
The overalls
The top 10 scoring routines in every division, across all age divisions, will be announced and presented with trophies.
Cash for the top 3
The top 3 scoring routines will receive cash awards.
One place per mover
A mover can only place once. If a dancer has more than one routine in the running for solo overalls, only their highest routine will qualify.
Share the hardware
Every member of a Duet/Trio receives their own trophy.
Workshop Scholarships
Numerous Workshop Scholarships put on by the most sought after choreographers will be awarded throughout the competition at the discretion of the judges.
Top Score of Studio
The top scoring routine from EACH studio will receive an award.
Top Studio
Studio pride goes on the board. Top Studio is studio against studio — your best work goes up and the scores stack against everyone else in the room.
The ten
Your ten top scoring group routines count toward the title. Productions are excluded.
The weekend
Top Studio is offered for both Competitive and Pre-Competitive studios — up to 5 Top Studios will be named across a single weekend.
Highest Honours
All six are presented at the end of each event weekend.

The Fine Print
No gotchas hiding at the bottom of the page. Here's how the hardware and the cash actually move.
- Awards follow the entriesHow many awards a category gives out depends on how many routines are in it. If the entry numbers change, the awards change with them.
- Cash goes to the studioCash awards are paid to the studio, not to individual movers or makers.
- Independents are inIndependent entries are welcome and stay eligible for the overalls.
- Send someone to collectHave a studio rep at every overall award session. Trophies, scholarships and cash are handed over on the night — nothing gets mailed after the event.
- Your scores, in writingEvery studio director gets a full score summary by email after the competition, and cash awards are remitted to the studio director once the weekend wraps.
