About Us
We've been on every side of it
Two sisters, a lifetime in dance, and a competition built to appreciate the people who make it happen — the movers and the makers.
Meet the sisters
Co-founder · The competitor's eye
Alex
A whole life in dance — training, performing, twenty years teaching, and getting competitive teams stage-ready. She knows exactly what rides on a three-minute number, because she's been the one holding her breath in the wings. This competition is built from that chair.
Co-founder · The maker's instinct
Mikayla
Fifteen years teaching, and every one of them spent in the room with dancers. Mikayla builds dancers — the counting, the hours it takes to turn a room full of individuals into one team that moves like it's got a single heartbeat. She's the reason this competition celebrates the work behind the routine, not just the routine.

Sides of the industry seen
So we flipped the table
"We've seen all sides of it. Now we're building for all of them."
Dance wasn't something we chose later. It's where we've been our whole lives — training, performing, and thirty-five years of teaching between us, getting competitive teams ready to go for it.
That means we know the sweat, the last-minute count-in, the costume held together by hope, and the parent in row twelve who drove six hours for a combo. We're not guessing what a good competition day looks like. We've lived every version of it.
So we're stepping over to the other side of the table and bringing something new and fresh to the competitive dance floor — one that appreciates the dancers and the people who build the work, in the same breath.
This competition has it all.
Movers & Makers, explained
The Movers
The dancers
The ones who show up, hit the mark and give everything they've got for three and a half minutes. We see the work. We're here for it.
The Makers
The choreographers & teachers
The ones building something out of nothing — counts, formations, fixes at midnight. The reason there's anything to perform at all. We see that too.
We want to be your next favourite dance competition.
